Aker Solutions and Total to co-operate on subsea technology development

The four-year technical collaboration agreement between Aker Solutions and Total will explore a wide range of issues throughout this year, including further evolution of subsea processing and compression systems to boost cost-efficiency of deepwater gas production, development of electric subsea controls and optimization of flow-measurement technologies. Total has been a strategic customer of Aker Solutions for many years including subsea projects such as the Kaombo and Dalia developments in Angola and Moho Nord in Congo-Brazzaville – using TUBACEX seamless tubes in both cases.

The TUBACEX Group has signed a contract worth over €75 million to supply OCTG CRA tubes in the Middle East. This is the largest order received to date for this type of product for oil and gas extraction. This order has been possible thanks to technological investment made in the OCTG plant in Spain in recent years.

Schlumberger absorbs Cameron

Schlumberger Limited, the world’s largest oilfield services provider, and Cameron, a provider of flow equipment products, systems and services for oil, gas and process industries, have jointly announced a definitive merger agreement. According to Schlumberger, as of August 25, 2015, total transaction value is $14.8 billion. This is a corporate acquisition in the oilfield services sector, where TUBACEX supply of tubular solutions is on the increase.

Oil and Gas Expo 2016 (Mumbai, March 3rd-5th)

TUBACEX has showcased its complete range of products in Mumbai, in the main exhibition in India since TUBACEX India was established. The main participants were from offshore and equipment manufacturing industries. A parallel event was the Refining and Petrochemical 2016 exhibition. TUBACEX presented a paper on material selection on downhole tubular applications.

The world's leading Nitrogen + Syngas event gathered a record attendance of over 660 professionals from 50 countries in Berlin. TUBACEX had a strong presence at the event, with a booth that drew the attention of many customer. TUBACEX is starting to become a recognized supplier in this new company application, having supplied many tube bundles for many Urea and Nitric acid vessels since Market re-entry in 2014.

NACE - Corrosion 2016 (Vancouver, March 6th-10th)

TUBACEX, through its subsidiary of ceramic coating Tubacoat, was present at the world’s largest corrosion conference and expo, attended by over 7,000 corrosion professionals and 450 exhibiting companies in Vancouver, in an educational event focused on the prevention and mitigation of corrosion worldwide.

Growth and diversification (both geographical and of value added products and services) was the main focus of TUBACEX exhibition activity.
