Interview of someone who started as an intern and has grown in the company thanks to his attitude, commitment and ability to learn the best from his teachers.
What has been you track record in the Tubacex Group?
I started as an intern in the systems division in 2003, as a Functional Analyst. Two years later I accessed the Sales area as Customer Service, thus getting to know the process and the product, as well as the operation of TUBACEX. In 2013, I transferred to the first line of the sales team, as the Subsea Product Manager. Two years later, I became the Product Manager of SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines) participating in highly-relevant projects with a great multi-disciplinary team.
What do you value most about TUBACEX?
There are many things I value at TUBACEX. It is a recognizable brand, a great company, formed by great professionals and people, many of whom I call friends.
On an external level, our development makes TUBACEX an internationally prestigious brand that is recognized by customers and competitors alike.
Within the sales area, I am passionate about daily learning, dealing with people, negotiating, learning from other cultures and the personal responsibility implicit in my position. Closing deals is the icing on the cake.
What are the most important changes that you have seen in TUBACEX since you joined?
With the latest acquisitions we have grown from an international company to a multi-national one, with people from different nationalities in all levels.
How do you see TUBACEX in 25 years?
We have a promising future before us. Of course we will face challenges, but we are in the first line and our mission is to be a global benchmark for solutions, not only in the Oil&Gas market.
