TUBACEX fosters RISK MANAGEMENT
to reinforce safe behavior

The scheme will be supported by Dupont, leading consultants in occupational
risk prevention.

 

TUBACEX has launched a joint project with DUPONT Consultancy to foster safety management excellence in its TTI and ACERÁLAVA plants.

This pioneering pilot project includes carrying out a diagnosis to set a starting point for behavioral aspects and risk management, while implementing an action plan based on improving safety, operational performance and employee skills.  

Changing attitudes and behavior is crucial to the process

This project is part of TUBACEX prevention strategy based on cultural transformation and boosting collective risk awareness. Thanks to Dupont, the Group plants in the Basque Country will have occupational risk prevention leaders to foster change in their collaborators’ attitudes and behavior.

Improving safety, operational performance and employee skills

For sustainable execution of this change, TUBACEX will prepare an action plan in line with the safety management program, combining Dupont’s initial diagnosis based on the Bradley curve (relation between lower accident ratios and higher employee involvement), and different tools including interviews, field feedback or surveys, among others. Afterwards, the main strengths and improvement opportunities, as well as any critical actions or those of immediate implementation will be presented; and finally, a work plan aimed at meeting set targets will be agreed upon.

This project was created with the view to be applied in the other business units.
