TUBACEX and ITP Aero, a leading aero engine and components manufacturer, have signed a new commercial attachment to their existing Long-Term Agreement, extending and detailing their collaboration across several key engine programs.

The agreement is executed between Industria de Turbo Propulsores, S.A. (ITP Aero) and Salem, the Tubacex Group’s U.S.-based company specialized in precision seamless stainless steel and high-nickel alloy tubing for the aerospace industry. TUBACEX’s contribution is underpinned by its vertically integrated model, covering the full advanced-materials value chain, from alloy design in metallurgy labs, through melting and tube manufacturing, to the delivery of high-precision tubing designed to operate in high-pressure, high-temperature and high-vibration environments. Under this attachment, TUBACEX will supply precision tubing for engine externals, as well as fuel, oil and hydraulic systems, pneumatic and instrumentation lines, and associated structures, applications that demand tight dimensional tolerances, clean internal surfaces, and strong resistance to corrosion and fatigue.

Through this attachment, TUBACEX will support ITP Aero across a balanced portfolio of platforms: the TP400 turboprop (powering the Airbus A400M), the Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engine family, the V2500 (Airbus A320ceo), and Pratt & Whitney Canada engines, including the PW800 family. The V2500 program also supports the decarbonization pathway of short and medium-haul fleets, as it can operate with blends of up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and conventional jet fuel.

According to Josu Imaz, CEO of TUBACEX, the new agreement “takes our collaboration with ITP Aero to the next level,” reinforcing TUBACEX’s role as a strategic supplier of high-performance tubing for current and next-generation platforms, and showcasing how value is created “from material design in the lab to performance in the engine.” Elena Vicente, Vice President Supply Chain at ITP Aero, notes that high-performance tubing is a critical enabler across engine programs and that the extended agreement ensures a reliable, competitive and technically capable partner across key platforms, supporting growth in OEM and MRO while strengthening supply-chain sustainability and competitiveness.

The attachment also further positions the United States as a strategic hub within TUBACEX’s aerospace and high-value industries footprint. In addition to Salem (Pennsylvania), the Group operates a second main plant in Durant (Oklahoma) and a network of five service centres nationwide, bringing production, stock, processing and technical support close to customers. From this U.S. base, TUBACEX already supplies advanced tubing for major aeronautics and space programs, high-integrity solutions for the nuclear sector, where it sees strong growth potential in the U.S. market.
