Tubacex took part in the event reinforcing its positioning across the nuclear value chain, from conventional nuclear power to the development of future Small Modular Reactor projects.
Tubacex took part last week in Nuclear Power Expo 2026, held in Piacenza, Italy, through its IBF S.p.A. TUBACEX Group team.
The event brought together companies, institutions and experts from across the nuclear energy value chain to exchange knowledge, explore the latest technological developments and discuss key topics for the future of energy, supply security and decarbonization. Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), industrial innovation and the development of highly specialized supply chains were among the main themes addressed during the exhibition.
Tubacex’s participation reflects the Group’s long-standing commitment to supporting highly demanding and strategic industries, where safety, reliability, quality and technological expertise are essential. Through IBF, Tubacex plays a key role in the nuclear supply chain, providing advanced tubular solutions and special components for power generation applications, including both conventional nuclear power plants and new-generation nuclear technologies.
IBF’s expertise in high-alloy seamless tubes, large-diameter and heavy-wall products, fittings and customized tubular solutions strengthens Tubacex’s ability to respond to the technical requirements of the nuclear sector. This capability is especially relevant in a context in which Europe and other regions are seeking to reinforce energy security, accelerate decarbonization and develop resilient industrial supply chains for critical energy infrastructure.
The nuclear sector is entering a new phase of development, driven by the need for reliable, low-carbon energy and by renewed interest in both large-scale reactors and SMRs. In this environment, the availability of specialized suppliers with proven industrial capabilities, demanding quality standards and experience in critical applications is becoming increasingly important.
