The recognition reinforces an operational collaboration that has seen Tubacex teams support more than 70 Petrobras wells since 2023 across some of Brazil’s most important pre-salt developments.

Tubacex has been recognized by Petrobras as Best OCTG Supplier for the second consecutive year at the 9th edition of the Petrobras Best Suppliers Awards, held during ROG.e 2026 in Rio de Janeiro.
This award recognizes performance based on criteria such as meeting deadlines, management, quality, health, safety and environment (HSE), environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, and value creation, in alignment with Petrobras’ goals, objectives and values. In this case, it also recognizes the relationship that has steadily grown in the field, combining Tubacex’s expertise in advanced corrosion-resistant materials, seamless tubular manufacturing, premium connections, and technical and operational field services.
Since 2023, Tubacex teams have supported more than 70 Petrobras wells, with activities across strategic Brazilian pre-salt assets including Búzios, Mero, Sépia and Atapu. These offshore environments combine high pressures, high temperatures and severe corrosive conditions, requiring high-performance solutions and particularly rigorous execution.
Beyond tubular supply
The collaboration with Petrobras illustrates Tubacex’s evolution towards an integrated OCTG solutions model.
Through TBX Nexxia, its industrial OCTG platform, Tubacex brings together CRA materials expertise, seamless pipe manufacturing, premium connections, and technical and operational services within a single proposition.
Under its “From Melt to Well” approach, Tubacex supports customers throughout the OCTG lifecycle, from material selection and initial engineering to manufacturing, logistics, inventory management, preparation, installation and technical assistance during well execution.
Field services as a key differentiator
This continuity between material, product and field execution is one of the key strengths of Tubacex’s proposition for critical CRA OCTG applications.
“Receiving this recognition from Petrobras for the second consecutive year is particularly meaningful because it reflects not only the performance of our products, but also the work of our teams alongside the customer throughout the entire project lifecycle. Our ambition is to continue combining materials expertise, industrial capabilities, premium connection technology and field execution to support Petrobras in developing increasingly complex offshore resources,” says Josu Imaz, CEO of Tubacex.
A collaboration with strong future potential
The recognition comes at a time of significant investment activity in Brazil.
Petrobras’ 2026–2030 Business Plan includes total investments of US$109 billion, of which US$69.2 billion is allocated to Exploration & Production projects within its implementation portfolio. Approximately 62% of this investment will be focused on the pre-salt, one of the world’s most important offshore producing regions.
Petrobras also plans to bring eight new production systems into operation by 2030, further strengthening the role of offshore developments in its growth strategy. Búzios will remain one of the main drivers of this expansion, alongside other major Brazilian pre-salt projects.
Against this backdrop, Tubacex will continue working closely with Petrobras on the development of new offshore wells, providing advanced materials, integrated CRA OCTG solutions and field services for critical applications.
