On October 15, Global Handwashing Day, TUBACEX Foundation reaffirms its commitment to children and hand hygiene, essential for health and learning.

In 2024, TUBACEX Foundation and UNICEF Spain launched a three-year partnership to support the right to education for 7,200 children in Guyana and Suriname.

In Guyana, the initiative strengthens WASH services for 6,000 students, where only one in three schools has basic water services. In Suriname, it expands access to early education for 1,200 children aged 3–4, in a country where fewer than half attend preschool. The story of Hururu (Guyana) highlights impact on the ground: rehabilitating the school’s solar-powered well will provide safe water for nearly 300 students and more than 90 households.

This initiative reflects TUBACEX Foundation’s core pillars: social innovation, sustainability, and support for children in vulnerable contexts.
