Xabier Sagredo Ormaza has more than 25 years of executive experience in the financial, energy and sustainability sectors. Since 2014, he has been Executive Chairman of the Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa Banking Foundation (BBK), where he has led a profound transformation based on a model of sustainable competitiveness, fostering innovation, technology and talent, and consolidating BBK as the second Spanish entity with the greatest potential for business investment and the leading one in the Basque Country. Under his leadership, the foundation has strengthened its role as the controlling shareholder of Kutxabank and has ensured the sustainability of its social work through an active corporate investment policy.
He is an independent director and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Supervision Committee of Iberdrola, S.A., and serves as a trustee of institutions such as the Biocruces Health Research Institute, the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum and the Guggenheim Museum Foundation Bilbao. Rafael Martín de Bustamante has an extensive career in engineering, infrastructure, and energy. He joined the Elecnor Group in 1983, holding several senior management positions including General Manager and, from 2011 to 2025, CEO. During his tenure, he led Elecnor’s international expansion, diversification into renewable energy and power transmission, and the creation of Fundación Elecnor.
He holds a degree in Physics from UNED and completed the PADE program at IESE Business School. He was named one of Spain’s “Top 50 Listed Company CEOs” by Forbes for seven consecutive years.

With over 29 years of experience, she has worked as an executive and a member of the management committee at Cementos Lemona and Cementos Portland Valderrivas. She was the first female plant director in Spain and within her Group.

Finalmente, ha sido consejera del astillero vigués Hijos de J Barreras, compañía que tras solicitar protección ante acreedores en 2019 validó un acuerdo de reestructuración con sus acreedores financieros en 2020.

In 2000, she was appointed World Director General for Sales and Marketing to Microsoft Partners and in May 2002, she returned to Spain to take over as Executive President of Microsoft Ibérica. In 2008, she was appointed Vice-President of Consumption for Europe.
On October 1st 2011, she joined Siemens as Executive President in Spain, a post that she held until December 2018. She also has more than 10 years experience as a member of the Board of Directors of IBEX 35 companies, having been a Director of Banesto, Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, Acerinox and Bankinter. Presidente de Orkestra-Instituto Vasco de Competitividad. Ha sido Vice-Chairman Energy de BCG desde julio de 2016 hasta diciembre de 2018. Anteriormente fue el líder global de la práctica de Energía desde enero de 2008 hasta julio de 2016 y líder de EMEA (Europa, Oriente Medio y África) entre los años 2004 y 2007.
Con más de treinta años de experiencia en el sector de la energía y el medioambiente, ha ayudado a compañías del sector de la energía a desarrollar sus visiones estratégicas y a implementarlas en sus organizaciones. Ha asesorado a gobiernos y reguladores por todo el mundo en asuntos relativos a la regulación de la energía y el desarrollo sostenible.
En 2013 fue incluido en el Top 25 de los consultores más influyentes por la revista Consulting. Es un orador habitual sobre energía, medioambiente y asuntos geopolíticos en foros como IEF (International Energy Forum) donde es miembro de su Industry Advisory Board; WPC (World Petroleum Council); IEF–IEA–OPEC Dialogue; GECF (Gas Exporting Countries Forum); IGU (International Gas Union); ESADEgeo; Aspen Institute; y AMER (Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable).
Es doctor cum laude en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid y fue Premio Extraordinario de Licenciatura. Es consejero de Repsol y de ENSO, y presidente del International Advisory Board de T2 Energy Transition Fund. Entre sus actividades institucionales, es consejero del Ente Vasco de la Energía, miembro del Patronato de TECNALIA, miembro del Consejo de Gobierno de la Universidad de Deusto, del Patronato de la Fundación ESADE, así como del Consejo Asesor Internacional de Denmark Innovation Fund.
Licenciada en Derecho y abogada del Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid. Es diplomada en Estudios Concursales por el ICAM y consejera de Hernández-Echevarría Abogados. Comenzó su carrera profesional en el Estudio Jurídico de Federico Puig, asesorando a los consejos rectores de diversas sociedades cooperativas. Acumula una dilatada experiencia como abogada procesalista en el ámbito civil y mercantil. Tiene una larga trayectoria profesional asesorando a grandes patrimonios familiares (“family-offices”) y fondos de inversión riesgo, tanto en las operaciones ordinarias del tráfico empresarial, como en adquisiciones extraordinarias. Ha prestado servicios en transacciones de materias primas (“commodities”), así como en el sector industrial e inmobiliario. Desempeña el cargo de secretario del consejo de administración de diferentes compañías.
Doctor Ingeniero Naval por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales (ETSIN) de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y Máster en Ingeniería Oceánica por el Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Actualmente es consejero y miembro de las Comisiones Ejecutiva Delegada y de Retribuciones de Iberdrola, y presidente de Seaplace, S.L., H.I. Ingeniería y Proyectos, S.L., Howard Ingeniería y Desarrollo, S.L. y de Heath Wind, S.L.
Ha sido miembro del Consejo de Administración de Iberdrola Renovables, S.A. (2007–2011) y consejero y miembro de la Comisión de Auditoría y Cumplimiento de Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica, S.A. (2013–2015). Ha ejercido como jefe del Departamento Técnico de Sociedad Española de Clasificación y Registro de Buques, Artefactos Flotantes e Ingenios Oceánicos, S.A. (Fidenavis) y en la Dirección Técnica de Seaplace.
En el plano docente, es profesor en el Máster de Derecho Marítimo del Instituto Marítimo Español y la Universidad Pontificia Comillas, y del Máster del Petróleo de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas y Energía (UPM). Fue profesor en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales y Oceánicos (UPM) y del Máster del Petróleo de Repsol.
Presidió el Instituto de la Ingeniería de España de 2012 a 2016 y fue decano del Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Navales y Oceánicos de España de 2006 a 2010.
Ingeniera de Telecomunicaciones por la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya; master en Dirección de Empresas-MBA por ESIC-Business & Marketing School; master Europeo Erasmus Mundus en Diseño y Gestión de Políticas de Aprendizaje Permanente por la University College of London y doctora en Sociología de la Educación por la UPV-EHU. Está en posesión del Certificado del Instituto de Consejeros y Administradores (IC-A) en Buen Gobierno de las Sociedades.
En el ámbito tecnológico, ha sido técnico de sistemas en Osakidetza-Servicio Vasco de Salud y responsable de informática del Hospital Comarcal de Mendaro. Ha participado en proyectos de investigación en tecnología digital en Vicomtech (centro tecnológico especializado en Artificial Intelligence, Visual Computing and Interaction).
En el ámbito de la gestión, ha ostentado el cargo de consejera de transportes y obras públicas del Gobierno Vasco y el de secretaria general de Confebask (organización empresarial vasca). En la actualidad es directora ejecutiva de la Fundación EKI (suministro de instalaciones fotovoltaicas en Africa sub-Sahariana), y consejera de I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U.
Ha ejercido labores de docencia en la Deusto Business School y en la Universidad Pública Vasca (UPV-EHU).
Hoy en día, es miembro del Consejo de Gobierno de la Universidad de Deusto y del Consejo de Gobierno de Unesco-Etxea (Asociación del País Vasco para la UNESCO).
Ingeniero de Caminos, Canales y Puertos. Ocupa en la actualidad el cargo de presidente del consejo de administración de CIE Automotive y Global Dominion Access así como consejero de Alba Corporación. Comenzó su andadura profesional como director en el Banco Bilbao entre los años 1979 y 1985. Tras un corto periodo como ingeniero freelance fue nombrado director general de Nerisa en 1988 donde permaneció hasta 1993 cuando se incorporó a SEAT como director de estrategia. En 1995 jugó un papel relevante en la creación de INSSEC, llegando a ser su consejero delegado y ocupando esta posición hasta 2010. Como presidente no ejecutivo de CIE AUTOMOTIVE está muy involucrado en la gestión estratégica y los aspectos financieros.
