Tubacex has signed the 2025-2029 collective agreement for its Tubacex Tubos Inoxidables (TTI) plant in Laudio-Llodio and Aceralava plant in Amurrio, following an agreement reached with the majority union representation, comprising ELA, STAT and CCOO.

The agreement establishes a stable labour relations framework for the next five years and reinforces the company’s industrial planning capacity in a complex market environment. The collective agreement covers 600 of the 2,700 people who form part of Tubacex worldwide, within the scope of two key production assets for the Group’s leadership in high value-added advanced industrial solutions.

The agreement includes salary, social and industrial measures aimed at reinforcing workforce stability and the operational continuity of the plants. Among other aspects, it provides for a salary update for 2025, annual increases linked to the CPI throughout the term of the agreement, a one-off payment of €2,000, measures related to partial retirement replacement contracts, and commitments regarding employment, investment and production workload.

The agreement also includes additional commitments in the areas of safety, wellbeing and organisational development. These include joint work to define an addiction management protocol, linked to prevention, occupational health and the consolidation of safe working environments. It also envisages progress towards an organisational model based on production cells, with the aim of increasing employee versatility and skills, supporting professional development and reinforcing the organisation’s operational flexibility.

“The agreement reached represents an important step towards reinforcing the stability of our plants in Álava and continuing to advance along an industrial roadmap focused on competitiveness and value creation. In a demanding environment for industry, having a five-year framework enables us to address market challenges and growth opportunities with greater visibility,” said Josu Imaz, Chief Executive Officer of Tubacex.

Tubacex has a long-standing presence in Aiaraldea, a region with a strong industrial tradition. In this regard, the agreement contributes to reinforcing the company’s role as a driving force in Álava’s industrial fabric, preserving qualified employment, manufacturing activity and high value-added production capabilities.
