Last Wednesday, January 15, TUBACEX Innovation hosted the follow-up meeting for the EFISOEC project at its facilities. This ambitious technological development, led by Repsol, sees active participation from Técnicas Reunidas, NX Technologies, and ZGR Corporación, with funding provided by the CDTI (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology) as part of the 2022 Science and Innovation Missions program.
The EFISOEC project aims to revolutionize industrial decarbonization by developing SOEC (Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cell) technology. This innovation leverages residual heat from industrial processes, significantly improving energy efficiency while reducing the electricity demand required by electrolyzers.
The consortium collaborates closely with renowned institutions such as the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), the National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2), TECNALIA, CIDETEC, DYPAM UCLM, and IMDEA Energy. Together, these efforts aim to position Spain as a leader in establishing a robust industrial ecosystem for the future commercialization of this vital technology for the energy transition.
During the meeting, attendees reviewed recent results and reinforced their shared commitment to driving innovative solutions for a more sustainable industry. At TUBACEX, we extend our gratitude to all participants for their dedication to this project, which reflects our core values of sustainability, innovation, and strategic collaboration.
