Rafael Martín de Bustamante has an extensive career in engineering, infrastructure, and energy. He joined the Elecnor Group in 1983, holding several senior management positions including General Manager and, from 2011 to 2025, CEO. During his tenure, he led Elecnor’s international expansion, diversification into renewable energy and power transmission, and the creation of Fundación Elecnor.
He holds a degree in Physics from UNED and completed the PADE program at IESE Business School. He was named one of Spain’s “Top 50 Listed Company CEOs” by Forbes for seven consecutive years.

En el ámbito tecnológico, ha sido técnico de sistemas en Osakidetza-Servicio Vasco de Salud y responsable de informática del Hospital Comarcal de Mendaro. Ha participado en proyectos de investigación en tecnología digital en Vicomtech (centro tecnológico especializado en Artificial Intelligence, Visual Computing and Interaction).
En el ámbito de la gestión, ha ostentado el cargo de consejera de transportes y obras públicas del Gobierno Vasco y el de secretaria general de Confebask (organización empresarial vasca). En la actualidad es directora ejecutiva de la Fundación EKI (suministro de instalaciones fotovoltaicas en Africa sub-Sahariana), y consejera de I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U.
Ha ejercido labores de docencia en la Deusto Business School y en la Universidad Pública Vasca (UPV-EHU).
Hoy en día, es miembro del Consejo de Gobierno de la Universidad de Deusto y del Consejo de Gobierno de Unesco-Etxea (Asociación del País Vasco para la UNESCO).
Licenciada en Químicas por la Universidad de Oviedo y Doctora Cum Laude en Ingeniería Química y Medio Ambiente por la UPV. Cuenta con un Executive MBA por la Escuela Europea de Negocios y el Programa de Consejeros ESADE.
En la actualidad es vicepresidente senior de estrategia de sostenibilidad en CRH, líder mundial en productos de construcción, donde dirige los cambios estratégicos en sostenibilidad y ESG, en decarbonización y circularidad y la transformación de la compañía para ser líder en soluciones sostenibles, en todos los negocios y países donde opera, con una amplia experiencia internacional en la industria.
Con más de 29 años de experiencia, ha trabajado como ejecutiva y miembro del comité de dirección en Cementos Lemona y Cementos Portland Valderrivas, ha desarrollado diferentes funciones en la industria pesada de fabricación de cemento y materiales de construcción, en la dirección general y como experta en atención comercial, calidad, medio ambiente, sostenibilidad, innovación y producción, hasta ser la primera mujer directora de fábrica de España y de su Grupo. A lo largo de estos años, ha sido y es miembro de numerosas asociaciones internacionales tales como World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) y Cembureau, entre otras.
Es, además, consejera independiente de CELSA y miembro de su Comisión de Nombramientos, Retribuciones y Sostenibilidad; patrono de la Fundación Tecnalia y consejera dominical de Aplicaciones Minerales.

Currently, she serves as senior vice president of sustainability strategy at CRH, a global leader in building materials, where she leads strategic shifts in sustainability and ESG, decarbonization, circularity, and the company’s transformation towards leadership in sustainable solutions across all its businesses and operating countries. She brings extensive international experience in the industry.
With over 29 years of experience, she has worked as an executive and a member of the management committee at Cementos Lemona and Cementos Portland Valderrivas. She has held various roles in the heavy manufacturing industry for cement and construction materials, including general management and expertise in commercial attention, quality, environment, sustainability, innovation, and production. She was the first female plant director in Spain and within her Group.
Throughout her career, she has been and continues to be an active member of numerous international associations, including the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA), and Cembureau, among others.
She is also an Independent board member at CELSA, where she serves on the Appointments, Remuneration, and Sustainability Committee. Additionally, she is a trustee of the Tecnalia Foundation and a proprietary director at Aplicaciones Minerales.

Con más de 25 años de experiencia en el sector financiero, inició su carrera profesional en la división de Capital Markets de JP Morgan en Londres. Después se unió a Credit Suisse Financial Products (más tarde Credit Suisse First Boston), y en el año 2000 pasó al equipo de Crédito Estructurado de Morgan Stanley. A su regreso a España, se incorporó a Cajamadrid donde, tras varios puestos ejecutivos, pasó a formar parte del Gabinete de Presidencia. Con posterioridad, asumió brevemente el cargo de directora financiera corporativa en Martinsa Fadesa y, seguidamente, pasó cinco años como asesora senior en Apollo Management. Finalmente, ha sido consejera del astillero vigués Hijos de J Barreras, compañía que tras solicitar protección ante acreedores en 2019 validó un acuerdo de reestructuración con sus acreedores financieros en 2020.

With more than 25 years-experience in the financial sector, she started her professional career at JP Morgan’s Capital Markets division in London. After that, she joined Credit Suisse Financial Products (later Credit Suisse First Boston), and in 2000 she moved to Morgan Stanley’s Structured Credit team where she became Executive Director. Upon her return to Spain, she joined Cajamadrid (later Bankia) where, after several executive positions, she became a staff member in the Office of the Chairman. Thereafter, she briefly took the role of CFO at Martinsa Fadesa and, later, she spent five years as a senior advisor at Apollo Management. She was a non-executive director at Hijos de J Barreras, a Vigo based shipyard that filed for creditor protection in 2019 and reached a successful Restructuring Agrement with financial creditors in 2020.

Tiene una larga trayectoria profesional asesorando a grandes patrimonios familiares (“family-offices”) y fondos de inversión riesgo, tanto en las operaciones ordinarias del tráfico empresarial, como en adquisiciones extraordinarias. Ha prestado servicios en transacciones de materias primas (“commodities”), así como en el sector industrial e inmobiliario. Josu Imaz es ingeniero industrial por Tecnun, Universidad de Navarra, postgraduado PADE en IESE, y MBA Executive por la Universidad de Mondragón. Ha ocupado puestos de máxima responsabilidad directiva en la compañía industrial Ampo, y durante 13 años ha sido director general de la división de material rodante, de Construcción y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), así como presidente ejecutivo y, posteriormente, vicepresidente de Solaris Bus & Coach, empresa líder en Europa en la fabricación de autobuses eléctricos, y parte del Grupo CAF.
Doctor Ingeniero Naval por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales (ETSIN) de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y master en Ingeniería Oceánica por el Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

En el plano docente, es profesor en el Máster de Derecho Marítimo del Instituto Marítimo Español y la Universidad Pontificia de Comillas y del Master del Petróleo de la Escuela Técnica Superior de la Escuela de Minas de la UPM. Fue profesor en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales y Oceánicos de la UPM y del Master del Petróleo de Repsol.
Presidió el Instituto de la Ingeniería de España desde 2012 hasta 2016 y fue Decano del Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Navales y Oceánicos de España desde 2006 hasta 2010.

En 1991, se incorporó a Microsoft Ibérica como directora de soporte técnico para trasladarse en 1996 a la matriz de la compañía en Redmond (EE.UU.) y trabajar conjuntamente con el CEO, Steve Ballmer, como directora de estrategia corporativa. En el año 2000 fue nombrada directora general mundial de ventas y marketing de Microsoft Partners y, en mayo de 2002, volvió a España para asumir la máxima responsabilidad de Microsoft Ibérica como presidenta ejecutiva de la compañía. En 2008 fue nombrada vicepresidenta de consumo para Europa.
El 1 de octubre de 2011 se incorporó a Siemens como presidenta ejecutiva en España, puesto que ha ocupado hasta diciembre de 2018. Además, tiene más de 10 años de experiencia como miembro del Consejo de Administración de empresas del IBEX 35, habiendo sido consejera de Banesto, Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, Acerinox y Bankinter. También ha sido la presidenta no ejecutiva de Siemens Gamesa.
Es colaboradora habitual en temas de innovación y liderazgo en diferentes medios de comunicación. Está fuertemente comprometida con la mejora de la educación en España y el desarrollo de vocaciones técnicas entre las niñas y por ello coopera con múltiples ONGs, universidades y escuelas de negocios.

Most of her career has been at Microsoft. In 1991, she joined Microsoft Ibérica as a Technical Support Director and moved to the parent company in Redmond (USA) in 1996, working alongside the CEO, Steve Ballmer, as Corporate Strategy Director. In 2000, she was appointed World Director General for Sales and Marketing to Microsoft Partners and in May 2002, she returned to Spain to take over as Executive President of Microsoft Ibérica. In 2008, she was appointed Vice-President of Consumption for Europe.
On October 1st 2011, she joined Siemens as Executive President in Spain, a post that she held until December 2018. She also has more than 10 years experience as a member of the Board of Directors of IBEX 35 companies, having been a Director of Banesto, Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, Acerinox and Bankinter. She has also been the non-executive president of Siemens Gamesa.
She is a regular collaborator in innovation and leadership issues in different media. She is firmly committed to improving education in Spain and developing technical vocations for girls, and for this reason, she cooperates with numerous NGOs, universities and business schools.
Naval Engineer by the Polytechnical University (Madrid) and Master in Economics and Business Management by the IESE (Barcelona). He is currently Chairman of Cartera Industrial Rea S.A. and non executive Chairman of Global Power Generation. He is as well ViceChairman of Gsacan SA and board member of MIBGAS Derivatives. He is Chairman of the Lloyd´s Register of Shipping Spanish Committee. Before joining REA, all his career has been linked to the energy industry, having been the Financial Director for Enagas, INH and Repsol, Vice Chairman of Drilling and Production and Vice President of Chemistry and director for Repsol, Gas Natural and Petronor, or President of the IESE Alummni Association. From 2002 to 2007 he was the President of Enagás.He has been board member of Europac, Mecalx and Banco Popular.
